Intro
In this release, we have made several improvements to Forecasting and KPI data collection scenarios. We have also added the long-awaited feature that allows using Excel formulas to calculate values saved back to SQL Server.
Additionally, we have introduced an automatic check for new SQL Spreads updates and simplified the process of sending details to SQL Spreads support.

What’s New
Formula Columns
Added a setting in the SQL Spreads Designer to enable using Excel formulas in columns and saving the calculated results back to the database.
Improved Forecasting & KPI Data Collection
- Pre-Load Data Processing: Enables pre-loading of fact tables when selecting new items in Tree Filters, such as a new month.
- User-Executed Data Processing: Allows you to set up workflows to commit and approve entries.
- Dynamic Column Locking: Provides the ability to lock columns for past months.
Auto-Check for Updates
SQL Spreads now automatically checks for updates, ensuring you’re always using the latest version.
Diagnostic File Generation
You can now generate a ZIP file with anonymized setup details to easily share information about your setup with SQL Spreads support.
Fixes
- SharePoint Integration: Added an option for Editors to save Excel documents back to SharePoint.
- Tree Filter Enhancements: Resolved an issue where confirmation dialogs for overwriting changes were not displayed when selecting items in the Tree Filter.
- Tree Filter Selection: Fixed an issue where the last selected items in a Tree Filter were not remembered.
