SQL Spreads is an Excel-to-SQL Server Add-In that will let you create solutions where you and your end-user can Update, Insert and Delete data in SQL Server through Excel.

What databases are supported by SQL Spreads?
SQL Spreads supports all editions of Microsoft SQL Server from SQL Server 2022 back to SQL Server 2008. Azure SQL is also supported.
Supported authentication methods are Windows authentication, SQL authentication and Azure AD authentication (also with MFA).
How is security handled in SQL Spreads?
SQL Spreads relies on SQL Server and Windows security and does not have its own mechanism to handle security to connect to the database.
SQL Spreads does not store any data outside of your local network. All data is stored on your machines and in your databases. We don’t handle any of your data.
Can I try the software?

What kind of license model is it?
We offer monthly and annual subscriptions and also perpetual lifetime licenses. The licenses are per-seat user licenses.
Subscriptions always include support and upgrades. Lifetime licenses include one year of support and upgrades for free. After the first year, support and upgrades can be renewed at an annual cost of 25% of the initial license price.
Support and upgrades include free email support and upgrades to all minor and major releases.
Do all users need the SQL Spreads Excel Add-In installed?
Yes, all users that should create SQL Spreads documents or work with SQL Server data in documents created by other users need to have the SQL Spreads Excel Add-In installed with a valid license.
What are the technical requirements to install SQL Spreads?
The technical requirements are:
- Windows 10 or Windows 11 in 32-bit or 64-bit. SQL Spreads can also be used on Remote Desktop Services or Citrix.
- The desktop version of Excel for Office 365, Excel 2019, Excel 2016, Excel 2013, or Excel 2010.
- SQL Spreads supports Microsoft SQL Server, any version from SQL Server 2022 back to SQL Server 2008, and any edition from Express or higher. SQL Spreads also supports Azure SQL.
- Supported authentication methods are Windows authentication, SQL authentication and Azure AD authentication (also with MFA).
