Technical requirements

System requirements:

• A Windows PC with Windows 10 or Windows 11 in 32-bit or 64-bit version. SQL Spreads can also be installed on Remote Desktop Services or Citrix.
• The desktop version of Excel for Office 365, Excel 2019, Excel 2016, Excel 2013, or Excel 2010. Both 32-bit and 64-bit editions of Excel are supported.

SQL Spreads can connect to:

• Microsoft SQL Server, any version from SQL Server 2022 back to SQL Server 2008, and any edition from Express or higher.
• Azure SQL.

Supported authentication methods are Windows authentication, SQL authentication and Azure AD authentication (also with MFA).

Prerequisites

When installing SQL Spreads, a check will be made that the prerequisites are installed. If the prerequisites are not installed, the installer will download and install them.

In older versions of Office, the VSTO 2010 Runtime which is a free extension to Microsoft Office may need to be installed separately.
